Eligibility
- SBI's current linked form is for an NRE PIS account mapped to a KYC-compliant SBI NRE savings account; new customers may submit both account requests together.
- The service is available only through selected or designated branches and remains subject to current RBI, securities, repatriation and tax rules.
- The linked form says its fees can change and contains apparently malformed lower bounds in the last two transaction-fee tiers; confirm the current tariff and exact breakpoints with the selected branch before applying.
Passing a listed condition does not mean the bank will approve an application.
Documents the bank lists
- Completed NRE PIS application, applicable RPI and/or NRI format, declarations and undertakings, and broker, demat and trading-account details
- For new or changed KYC: valid passport copy, valid visa and local-residency proof, Indian/foreign and correspondence-address proofs as applicable, photographs and PAN copy
- Qualifying overseas attestation where required by the linked application form
- Original purchase and sale contract notes within the form's published 24/
