Eligibility
- Applicants must be NRIs or PIOs and satisfy SBI credit, income and property checks.
- The published applicant-age range is 18 to 70 years and the minimum loan amount is ₹15 lakh.
- The final interest rate is linked to EBLR, depends on CIBIL score and may include the published non-salaried risk premium.
Passing a listed condition does not mean the bank will approve an application.
Documents the bank lists
- Completed loan application with passport-size photographs
- KYC identity and address documents where the SBI savings account is not KYC-compliant; updated address proof or PAN where required
- Property approvals, sale or allotment agreement, occupancy and ownership papers as applicable, approved plan and payment evidence
- Six months' overseas salary and savings account statements, Indian account statement if any, and one year of statements for existing loans
- Salaried applicants: valid work permit, employment contract with attested English translation where needed, salary evidence, employer ID and applicable prior-year tax return
- Non-salaried applicants: business-address and income proof, two years' audited or CA-certified financial statements and applicable tax returns, and six months' individual and business overseas bank statements
