Eligibility
- Any permanent resident of India above 6 months of age who is travelling abroad for work or leisure can take this overseas travel insurance.
Passing a listed condition does not mean the bank will approve an application.
Documents the bank lists
- Claim form submitted within 30 days of returning home
- identity and address proof of the proposer
- For emergency medical claims: original hospital bills and receipts, original discharge certificate, hospital/chemist cash memos with prescription, pathology reports and attending-doctor recovery certificate
- For mortal-remains transportation: official death certificate and physician’s statement of cause of death
- For emergency medical transportation: qualified registered physician’s medical statement and original expense bills/receipts
- For dental emergency: bills, vouchers or reports detailing the tooth and treatment
- For personal accident: police report, death certificate where applicable, original bills/vouchers/reports/discharge summary and post-mortem report where applicable
- For checked-in baggage loss: carrier Property Irregularity Report, airline compensation letter and proof of value for items over $100
- For delayed baggage: original emergency-purchase bills and airline report showing baggage arrival date and time
- For personal liability: incident details and proof of the court’s judicial decision
- For aircraft hijacking: proof of travel and newspaper or other proof of hijacking
- For trip cancellation/interruption: official cause documentation, unused-ticket proof, invoices, payment proof, supplier refunds and non-refundable-cost confirmation
- For missed departure/connection or flight delay: airline confirmation of reason/times and original additional-expense bills
- For loss of passport: police report, expense statement for emergency passport/travel documents and original bills
