Eligibility

  • The customer, or primary holder for a joint deposit, must have attained age 80.
  • The benefit is restricted to retail principal below ₹3 crore.
  • The scheme is callable only and does not apply to the six explicitly excluded SBI deposit families.
  • Existing-deposit automation depends on the correct date of birth in SBI's core banking system.
  • The reviewed product page does not publish a dedicated KYC checklist, online application link or numeric premature-withdrawal penalty.
